The Primrose Cliffside Cabin perched high on a cliff in the beautiful San Juan Mountains offers the perfect location for your Durango visit. It seems that you are literally hanging off the cliff!! No matter the season the views from this cabin will enthrall you. The pristine beauty of this area, just 20 minutes north of Durango and 12 minutes south of the Durango Mountain Ski and Summer Resort, just seems to envelope and relax you. Here you will appreciate an area that has not been over developed and retains its rugged mountain beauty and historic western charm.

The Primrose Cabin is an immaculate little piece of heaven with a large living and dining area off of which is the deck and its breath taking views. A perfect place for a barbecue or just to hang out. In the winter you can catch the twinkling of the sun off the snowscapes out your large floor to ceiling windows or snuggle by the fire. You are in someplace special - away from the highrises and the crowds. You really get a feel for being in the mountains.

The cabin sleeps six with a double bed in the downstairs bedroom, queen bed in the loft bedroom, and a queen sofa bed in the living room. The full bath has a bathtub/shower combination.

You can easily hike to the beautiful Electra Lake from the cabin for boating, fishing, hiking, or enjoying dinner on the lake in an historic sporting club built in 1929. The views over the lake and mountains are wonderful! With over 300 days of sunshine even the winters are glorious and the summers with almost no humidty are near perfect.

Just 12 minutes north is the Durango Mountain Resort (formerly Purgatory) where almost every winter sport and activity is available. In the summer it offer concerts, world class mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, jeeping, and more. Top rated golf courses are just minutes away.

Twenty minutes south is the Western historic town of Durango with shops, resturants, and home to the famous Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad. You can enjoy white water rafting, rodeos, hot springs, and more. Mesa Verde, home of the ancient "Cliff Dweller American Indians" is a short drive away. Since this cabin is at about 8400 feet it is often ten degrees cooler than downtown Durango and enjoys summer temperatures in the 70s and 80s and cool mountain night sleeping!
