If you are looking for a charming mountain getaway, nestled in the woods, on a creek with a waterfall, near a high mountain lake and only 1.5 miles from incredible skiing at Durango Mountain Resort, this is it!!!This darling cabin evokes images of a Hanzel & Gretal Cottage. Nestled in the woods on a beautiful one acre lot you can soak under the stars in the hot tub and listening to the Cascade Creek as it meanders through the property. Take a short walk and become mesmerized by the waterfall or try your hand at fishing. Sitting on the deck looking up at the mountains, the only sounds you hear are those of the song birds and the breezes in the trees. This is the best of the Colorado Rockies!!

This cute cabin has all the comforts of home. Recently completely renovated, it offers a living/dining area that also enjoys the outdoor views. The cozy wood stove provides a great place to sip hot chocolate after an exhilarating day hiking or skiing. Leather couches, tasteful furnishings make this a cut above the typical cabin.

The kitchen is well stocked with all the cooking utensils to prepare and enjoy family meals. It even has a washer and dryer.

On this same main level is the master bedroom with queen bed. Right across the hall is the full bath with tub/shower combination.

The kids will love the loft where they can snuggle under the eaves in the two double beds. Extra sleeping is on the futon. A game table and another T.V. for watching movies rounds out this upstairs retreat.

A short 1.5 drive takes you to the Durango Mountain Resort (Purgatory), home to some of the best nordic and Alpine skiing in the Rockies. How about a romantic sleigh ride, snowmobiling, snowshoeing or simply reading in front of the fire. This winter wonderland is perfect for relaxing or enjoying winter sports.

This is a 4 season resort area and the area comes alive with scenic chair lift rides, alpine slides, music festivals, and world class mountain biking. Look out your front windows for a wooded aspen and pine view with a backdrop of mountains. This charming cabin is surrounded by hundreds of miles of scenic hiking and biking trails where wild flowers, waterfalls, and wildlife abound.

Perhaps you would enjoy white water rafting, world class fly fishing or golfing. Or take a ride on the famous Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad to historic mining town of Silverton. Visit gold mines... ghost towns... Go "jeeping" on incredible mountain passes!

This home is within walking distance to its larger sister home (that sleeps 13) so it offers a perfect get-away for large groups or multiple families.
