What could be more ideal than to experience the Colorado Rockies in a rustic but comfortable/cozy cabin. No crowds, no city noise; just you on the deck in summer watching the wildlife or soaking under the stars in the hot tub in winter. Totally renovated and decorated in a wonderful "mountain chic" style, this cabin boasts designer touches: granite counter tops, new tile throughout, original sculpture and art. The Bear Hollow Cabin offers a perfect summer or winter retreat. The three bedrooms (two with queen beds and one with a set of twins), with a double sofa bed in one of two living areas provide comfortable sleeping for eight.

The unique floor plan is perfect for a romantic getaway for two but with two living areas, it offers plenty of room for "the kids" to hang out separate from "the adults" of an extended family. A unique sculpture of a bear in a tree hollow greets you when you first walk in the front door. The cozy Vermont stove offers atmosphere and warmth to watch TV or curl up with a book. The double sofa bed converts this second living area into a second bedroom if needed. Just down the hall is a bedroom with twin beds, full bath (shower) and laundry room.

The second level enjoys another living area with a wood burning stove (with glass front and options of opening to see and feel the crackle of the real wood fire). A fully equipped kitchen and large dining table is a great place for family meals. The second bedroom (with a queen bed) and another full bath complete this floor. The third bedroom (with a queen bed) and half bath is on the top floor.

Look out the front windows and you have beautiful views of the woods and the 11,000 foot "Hermosa Cliffs." Look out any window and dense aspen and evergreen woods will enchant you. Walk out the back door to Electra Lake, one of the most beautiful lakes in Southwest Colorado where fishing is superb and the views breathtaking. A big deck with a large hot tub and dining area provide additonal outdoor living areas.

You are near the historic town of Durango but miles away from the stress and hassel of city life. You can relax and be at peace here..... Or you can totally immerse yourself in all the wonderful summer and winter indoor and outdoor activities that this area has to offer.
